Erde, a Risograph art print. The print was originally hand drawn using pen ink.
"Erde" is the root-word for Earth meaning dirt. It was also the title of a Chelsea Wolfe song, where I first learned about the word. The illustration was created as a reaction to the devastation of the 2019 Australian bushfires. It depicts mother Earth saddened by the tragedy. The sentimentality behind the creation of this artwork extends to the continuous disasters that occur due to human lifestyle. Whilst I personally understood that nobody can ever be perfect in their effort to live a carbon-free, zero-waste, and cruelty-free lifestyle, I believe that any effort can make a difference if we do so collectively. I wanted "Erde" to be a reminder that how we live will always have an effect on Earth.
The Risograph prints are produced in limited quantity. Each print will be numbered and signed with pencil at the front bottom.
The dimension is 7 x 5 inches.
